CNCRC held annual meeting on January 21. Presented at the meeting include officials from NDRC, Ministry of Finance, Agricultural Development Bank, Supervision Board of State-owned enterprise, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, PICC and other related department leaders.
Lei, Xiangju, general manager of CNCRC gave a speech on “faithful exertion of cotton reserve control and enhance a steady and sustainable development”. She noted that 2009 was the most difficult year for China since the beginning of the century. Cotton market has also undergone unprecedented barriers and challenges. The government-appointed reserve purchase and auction by CNCRC totaling more than 4 mil tons has effectively ensured a steady domestic supply and cotton price. CNCRC achieved a satisfactory success in carrying out the mission.
Liu, Xiaonan, director of the economic and trade department of NDRC, highly appraised CNCRC’s work in the past year as “satisfactory and outstanding”. He noted that CNCRC should review its past experience and timely work out an effective application of state reserve so as to achieve a better result in macro control. Zeng, xiao’an, director of the economic construction and Zhang Ze, general manger of the banking department of ADB head office also gave speeches.
